The Coaches

"Coupdoeil" - "Xorc1st" - "CRISSTOOPHER"

HOW IT ALL STARTED: It was 2006 when Eric the world traveling poker player showed up at my door...we had met quite simply chatting in a PartyPoker chat room. Eric was in his very young twenties and was already playing some of the higher stakes on the internet at that time. I offered he come out to New York...  I teach him a little stock market trading and he teach me a little poker. I at the time had been successfully trading stocks and options for the last decade and had taken a recreational approach to poker as i saw its many similarities to the financial markets(in fact today i consider it just another financial market no different then stocks or options) The result--Eric remained as my roommate in New York for half a year and his dedication and passion for the game was contagious enough to transform me into a full time grinder, which i still am today, while  still run my trading operations..no easy task but the challenge of the fundamental,  technical and psychological acclimation to the game still dazzles me today.(Since Eric currently is not coaching we will protect his privacy as far as his online screen name--that being said if he is at your table YOU need work on your table selection skills!)

I am JASON by the way and i still live and reside in my favorite place in the world NEW YORK CITY.  I still run an options trading operation and i am a mid level grinder. I play primarily at  PokerStars under the name COUPDOEIL...many ask me what my name means so check out this site for a fun definition... http://www.airpower.maxwell.af.mil/airchronicles/cc/Caraccilo2.html ...My record speaks for itself as i am a 6 max specialist and constantly show up as one of the most profitable players in my game.

In mid 2009 while playing a small MTT and chatting it up  this time in a PokerStars chat room i met Xorc1st and found he was mostly a cash player like me, though at smaller stakes.  We ended up continuing our conversation on AIM where i found a strange gap between his very profound and interesting thought process and his somewhat sideways results.  To put it simply it appeared to me that he understood the game DEEPLY but was not executing his game properly to take advantage of his knowledge.  As an experiment (being a past basketball coach) i decided to have some fun and signed Xorc1st on to a deal where i would coach him and get his game hopefully moving in the right direction.  End result-- my read was spot on and he was not only killing 100nl within weeks but was able to quickly move up to 200nl while still under our coaching arrangement.

Seemed we had our own little PAY IT FORWARD poker world in motion and that's when the idea came to formalize it....Fish2ShAARK was born when a fish met a shark, then that fish became a shark and met a fish that became.... ......and the beat goes on!

CRISSTOOPHER is a newly added member to team "Fish2ShAArk" simply because it just needed to be done. Starting from a $0 bankroll, he played freerolls to work his bankroll up to a few dollars. From there, grinded the .60 sit n goes on Absolute Poker and progressively moved up limits and switched to a full time cash game player after figuring out the game through numerous losing sessions.. CRISSTOOPHER now has made thousands of dollars playing poker mostly at cash games. CRISSTOOPHER currently attends college to be a networking administrator, so the money certainly helps him out when it comes time for tuition payments. He is a regular at Absolute Poker and plays mostly 200NL. He also cashed in 2nd place in the most recent "Absolute Poker College Challenge" netting him 5 grand for college. The event was commentated by Matt Vengrin & Joe Sebok. Some clips can be found of him playing in the APCC below.
